KZN, Weenen - Situated on a 5 000 ha conservancy with attractive, undulating thornveld in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands.

12 campsites on seasonal grass - not all sites have large shade trees. campers may not leave the reserve before the official reception office opening time. • Other accommodation: Chalet

  • • No water-based activities - no fishign allowed and no swimming pool.

  • • No onsite bar or restaurant - bring everything you need. Places in eat in Estcourt 30kms.

  • • No onsite shop - Cold drinks, ice, firelighters, matches and firewood are sold at the entrance gate. Groceries available in Weenan 8kms or Estcourt 30kms.

Access

  • • To explore the area you need a robust high clearance vehicle, preferably a 4x4, and off-road trailers.

  • • Access to the entrance on tar roads, but further exploration of the area requires a robust high clearance vehicle, preferably a 4x4 vehicle. Entrance from the road to the campsite is gravel/sand.

Other

  • • Pets not allowed

  • • Malaria-free area but bring lots of insect repellent, especially in the summer months.

  • • Cell signal in certain areas.

  • • No WiFi hotspot

  • • As a general precaution wherever you travel, keep valuables secured away.
