20 Sites on the banks of the Orange River on seasonal grass with trees for shade. Bring a net ground sheet to protect the grass • Please Note: During the November & December packing season the Lapa bar & restaurant (located next to the camp site) is operational on Saturday nights only from 18:00 – 2:00 and has loud music during this time which may be disturbing. By booking over a Saturday during these months, please keep this in mind as no refunds may be demanded for Lapa related disturbances.

Site Essentials
  • • Power points for each site - bring a 15+m extension cord.

  • • Water points on or near sites.

  • • Braai at each site. Bring a grid.

Amenities
  • • Communal ablutions - Ladies & Gents - with hot water, showers, basins and flushing toilets.

  • • Scullery for washing dishes.

  • • No laundry facilities.

Food, Drinks, Supplies
  • • No onsite restaurant. Onsite bar only open in season and at limited times. Food is served at the Cellar or vsiit a restaurants and takeway in Kakamas 3kms.

  • • No onsite shop. Groen Kalahari in Kakamas 3kms for ice, wood & local produce. Stock up on groceries at the supermarket in Kakamas 3kms.

  • • Fishing - at your own risk - bring your own gear

  • • Birding • Farm Tours • Wine Tasting • Nearby: • Augrabies National Park

Access
  • • Suitable for all types of typically accepted camping vehicles and ways of camping.

  • • Tar to the entrance then less than 1km of good gravel road to Reception. Internal roads are gravel.

  • • Pets welcome by prior arrangement

  • • Malaria-free

  • • Cell signal - Cell coverage by Vodacom, MTN & Cell C with Vodacom being the strongest.

  • • No WiFi at the campsite, but there is WiFi at the Cellar, not far away.

  • • Located on a fenced working farm. Campsite has an electrified fence and gate is locked at night.As a general precaution wherever you travel, keep valuables secured away.

Rates
  • 2023 Camping Price Guide*:

    R100 per site per night (caravan or tent)
    R60 per adult per night
    R40 per child (under 12) per night.
    Children under 2 stay for free
