DG-OVERLANDING
February 27, 2023 at 10:32 amDG Overlanding camped at Elephant Sands, in Botswana.
See our review here https://youtu.be/_hGtFwmJgrk
Elephant Sands in located in Botswana, just north of the town of Nata. Basic campsite, but the drawcard are the elephants who come to drink from the waterhole. Magic sightings.
DG Overlanding found a lack of maintenance and broken braai facilities. The ablutions has some maintenance issues as well – but the water was hot and the showers good.
Dirt road into the camp.
No power at the campsite, so you need solar.
Swimming pool from which you can view the elephants at the waterhole. Bar facilities as well as a restaurant.

May 9, 2023 at 1:17 pmThe ablution was clean, always hot water and a wonderful view as the elephants walk past (if you are tall). We had dinner at the restaurant the first night. Best vegetable soup I’ve had, my kids still talk about it. The owners interaction and relationship with the elephants was an experience on its own. He knowns them by name and calls the vet if he sees any lingering injuries. Overall a place I would return too every chance I get.
