• No power - off-grid campsite. Bring lighting, torches, solar and other methods of being totally power sufficient.

• Water points at the communal ablutions. Water is safe to drink, but if sensitive, bring your own drinking water.

• Portable braais available - bring your own grid.

• Rustic semi-outdoor communal ablutions with showers, handbasin and flushing toilets. Heat your own water in the kettle, fill the shower bucket and hoist into position.

• No scullery area for washing dishes.

• No laundry facilities

• Wood and Ice available at reception - Cash Only. Stock up on groceries in Heidelberg 8,5kms or less than a kilometre from the camp you can find Die Skeerhok farmstall and Hooikraal butchery.

• Whilst, with careful diving and a more powerful vehicle towing a road caravan, the campsite is accessible for all types of vehicles and ways of camping - there is a 1km strip gravel road which may deter owners of road caravans - one must also be self-sufficient in terms of power. To explore the farm and get to some of the fishing spots, a robust high clearance vehicle is needed.

• Just off the N2 highway -short two-strip gravel road to the campsite - internal roads are gravel.

• Pets not allowed - no negotiation.

• Malaria-free area

• Limited cell signal

• No WiFi

• As a general precaution wherever you travel, keep valuables secured away.
