A tranquil sheltered 'bird park' setting near Kowie River in Port Alfred, the heart of the Sunshine coast.

Sites

32 Large grassy sites most with shade and privacy from large trees. Bring a net ground sheet to protect the grass.• Campsites vary in size to accommodate a two man tent (10×12) to a double axle caravan or a RV (14×12) and can accommodate up to 6 people on one site.

Site Essentials

  • • Shared power points. Bring a 20+m extension cord. Blue caravan plug.

  • • Water points on or near sites.

  • • Portable Braai on request. Bring a grid.
Amenities

  • • Communal Ladies and Gents ablutions.
    Clean & neat with hot water, showers, bath and flushing toilets.

  • • Scullery for washing dishes.

  • • No laundry facilities.
Food, Drinks, Supplies

  • • The Little Coffee Shop “Die Suikerbekkie” is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 3pm, weekends & public holidays from 9am to 1pm for breakfast & lunch. Takeaways can be ordered through the shop • There are lots of licenced restaurants and takeaways in this well developed tourist region within 5kms of the resort.

  • • No onsite shop. Grocery shops within 5kms of the resort. There is a souvenir shop on the property.

  • • River swimming • Sailing and boating • Canoeing, pedal boats and water-skiing on Kowie River • Fishing • Bring your Kayaks, Canoes, inflatables and tubes and fishing gear.

Access

  • • Suitable for all types of typically accepted camping vehicles and ways of camping. Some sites have low hanging branches.

  • • Tar all the way. Internal roads are paved.

  • • Cell signal. Visitors report that signal is good.

  • • No WiFi

  • • Property is open along the waterfront. As a general precaution wherever you travel, keep valuables secured away.
