Overview

This Municipal campsite sits on a bluff overlooking the ocean south of Simon’s Town. Not suitable for drop-in's - booking and payment must be done through the Municipal offices ahead of time during business hours.

Sites

13 Grassed sites with some shade. Bring a net ground sheet to protect the grass • Many visitors report the booking procedure being a difficult process - you cannot just arrive and get a site - it needs to be booked and paid for in advance with the municipality during their office hours.

  • • Power points on or near each site. Bring a 15+m extension cord.

  • • Water taps are scarce.

  • • Bring your own Braai and grid.
Amenities

  • • Neglected ablutions in need of maintenance - hot water, showers, basins and flushing toilets.

  • • No scullery for washing dishes

  • • No laundry facilities.

  • • No onsite restaurant. Dining and takeaway options in Simonstown within a 5kms radius.

  • • No onsite shop. Stock up on Simonstown within a 5kms radius.

  • • There are partly rocky/partly sandy beaches and sheltered swimming areas • Ocean fishing • Take all our own gear for ocean watersports and activities

  • • Varied Walking Trails • Running • Cycling
Access

  • • Suitable for all types of typically accepted camping vehicles and ways of camping.

  • • Tar all the way.

  • • Private security on the premises. As a general precaution wherever you travel, keep valuables secured away.

    Payment Options: EFT • Debit Card
    The only methods of payment will be via debit card or electronically (EFT). This can only be done at the Muizenberg municipal offices during office hours.
