• No onsite shop. Bring everything you need. There is wood available at Groen river gate, but it is recommended that you bring your own wood.

• The roads to most sites are poor with stretches of soft sand. Vehicles towing caravans or trailers should be careful, particularly if you are not used to towing in soft sand. Ensure beforehand that your tyres are the recommended pressure for sand driving.

• No WiFi

• Travel and staying within the Park is considered safe. As a general precaution wherever you travel, keep valuables secured away.

Daily Conservation fees for 1 Nov 2023 to 31 Oct 2024 for South African Citizens and Residents (with ID): R55 per adult per day, R27 per child per day. Members of SANParks’ loyalty programme WILD do not pay conservation fees provided that proof of Identity and their WILD card are shown on arrival. A community fund of 1% will be added to the cost of all accommodation.
