131 Level sites in an open area with little privacy • North Camp - 29 sites have no power and no view while 31 sites on the riverside have power • South Camp - 48 sites with no power or view and 23 riverside spots with power • Separate sites dedicated to tents available. Little general lighting at night, so a torch is essential • Park Telephone: 044 877 1197.

Site Essentials
  • • Power on some sites only. Bring a 15+m extension cord.

Access
  • • Suitable for all types of typically accepted camping vehicles and ways of camping.

  • • Tar to the entrance. Internal roads are gravel • Off N2, 1kms from George, 2km from Wilderness Village Road sign says Wilderness National Park.

  • • Cell signal. Visitors report upload speeds can be slow and unstable. Signal can be weak and patchy in places.

  • • Fenced. Travel and staying within the Park is considered safe. As a general precaution wherever you travel, keep valuables secured away.

    Rates based on 2 people. Additional charges for any adults and children to a maximum of 6 persons per site.

    Daily Conservation fees for 1 November 2022 to 31 October 2023 for South African Citizens and Residents (with ID) - R52 per adult per day, R26 per child per day. Members of SANParks’ loyalty programme WILD do not pay conservation fees provided that proof of Identity and their WILD card are shown on arrival. A community fund of 1% will be added to the cost of all accommodation.
