Overview

Nestled amongst the natural beauty of the scenic Kuruman hills, on the edge of the ancient Ghaap plateau, in the Northern Cape of South Africa, 15km west of the historic town of Kuruman.

Sites

15 Sites on sparse seasonal grass, or bare ground, with some shade trees. Bring a net ground sheet to protect the grass. 7 sites have private ablutions.

  • • Fenced with access control. Within the boundaries of a fenced nature reserve.
    As a general precaution wherever you travel, keep valuables secured away.

    BEWARE of Smash & Grab attacks when driving through Kuruman.

    DG Overlanding Campsite Review of Red Sands Country Lodge. Northern Cape. Camping. Camping with private ablutions.
    Lovely resort with private ablutions, normal campsites, chalets and more.
    The resort is outside Kuruman and Kathu. Camping with power. Private ablutions have own toilet, shower and wash up. Also some have satellite dishes. Both normal three pin plugs and blue caravan sockets. Most braais are built in. Some grass. Nice swimming pool.
    Communal ablutions are nice and clean.
    Very good stop if you travelling to the Northern Cape.
    Very nice resort.
