Travelled here twice well out of season and were one of only a few campers in the huge campsite. We stayed nearer to Coral Divers – if there’s a fishing competition it can be noisy from early in the morning to late at night. Campsite was clean, monkeys were not a constant problem and the bathrooms were kept very clean with great hot water.

We recently spent 3 nights at Gwala Gwala campsite in Sodwana National Park, being our first visit. The arrival gate was very well manned and was efficient and helpful. Reception was equally welcoming, efficient and helpful. The park is obviously extremely well run and maintained and secure. Good quality tarred main roads in the park and sand roads in the camp areas. Each stand is quite private with own 15amp electricity and water tap. Monkeys were not a big issue and small game were seen around the camp. The ablution blocks were clean and serviced at all times with ongoing hot water with gas heaters. We were delighted with being able to park on the beach after obtained a complimentary permit from the gate house, and what a beach it is!! There were only residents on the beautiful beach and plenty to watch with boats coming in and out, and rock pools to snorkel in. I would not hesitate to recommend this National Park for camping and a wonderful holiday.
