• Malaria-free • The area was categorised as Malaria-free in 2017 by the South African Department of Health. However, there are lots of mosquitoes in the summer months so cover up, use repellent and a sleeping net to avoid those itchy bites.

• The biggest thieves are the monkeys! Food is not safe in tents - keep secure in a locked place. Whilst visitors have not listed security as a concern, as a general precaution keep valuables secured away.
